LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG is the newest addition to the SPO Series of multi-purpose industrial oils. LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG is an exceptionally shear stable multi-grade product which can be implemented in a variety of gearbox and bearing applications. The multi-viscosity characteristics of LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG make it particularly outstanding in gear cases that require a high viscosity oil (such as in a worm gear) however, are subject to cold and hot ambient temperature conditions. Shutdowns during cold temperature conditions can result in difficult start-up when using high viscosity oils commonly used in worm and other difficult gearbox applications. LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG is a semi-synthetic lubricant formulated with a unique blend of synthetic hydrocarbon and mineral oil base stocks. This base stock combination results in exceptional thermal and oxidative stability, extended drain intervals and improved performance. LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG meets the viscosity requirements of SAE 80W and SAE 140 gear oils. LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG is not recommended for automotive applications requiring an API GL-4 or GL-5 service category. LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG will offer increased lubricity, thereby reducing operating temperature. The high thermal stability and oxidation resistance lend themselves to exceptional oil life resulting in fewer oil changes, less down time, reduced disposal cost, etc. LUBRIPLATE SPO-MG is compatible with most seals and elastomers as well as with copper, brass and bronze even when high temperatures are encountered.
